The two-step gel that keeps birds gone for up to 5 years
Vamoose is the only bird repellent gel of its kind registered with the South African Department of Agriculture. What makes a BCS installation last is the second step competitors skip: the sealer.
Vamoose Bird Repellent Gel is a two-step, non-toxic tactile deterrent that makes ledges, beams and signage uninhabitable for pest birds without harming them. Step one is the colourless, odourless gel; step two is the Vamoose Sealer that locks it in place, which is why a BCS installation lasts up to 5 years. It is registered with the South African Department of Agriculture (Reg. No. L10143, Act 36 of 1947).

Colourless, odourless, non-toxic, and the birds never adapt
Vamoose repels birds by touch, not by poison. When a bird lands on a treated surface it feels the gel's tacky texture, reads it as an unsafe surface, and leaves. After one or two encounters, the whole flock avoids the area. Unlike spikes, wires or sonic devices, which birds learn to work around, Vamoose keeps working because the response is instinctive.
The only bird repellent gel of its kind registered with the SA Department of Agriculture
Vamoose isn't an off-the-shelf deterrent. It's a registered agricultural remedy, held to the standards of the national regulator, and separately approved in Australia. That registration is your assurance it does what we say, safely.

One extra step. Years of extra life.
Single-step gels dry out, collect dust and feathers, and stop working within 6 months. BCS adds a second step, the Vamoose Sealer, and that's the whole reason our installations last up to 5 years.
Apply the gel
A consistent bead of Vamoose is laid in a wave or zig-zag along the surface, a harmless, tacky layer that feels unsafe to birds the moment they land.
Seal the bead
A light, even coat of Vamoose Sealer goes over every side of the bead, a thin, durable barrier that keeps dust, feathers and debris off the gel. This second step is unique to BCS.
The flock moves on
A bird lands, feels the tacky surface and reads it as a trap, then flies off with a distress call that warns the flock. After a couple of encounters the area is avoided entirely, and, sealed in, the installation keeps working for up to 5 years.
Built to outperform every alternative
Every other method frightens a bird or makes a surface briefly uncomfortable, so birds habituate and come back. Vamoose changes the surface itself. Here's how it compares to what else is on the market.
Spikes
Spikes silt up with guano and nesting material until birds nest on top of them. The sealed Vamoose bead sheds debris and keeps the surface unusable for up to 5 years.
Wires
Tensioned wire only guards a straight ledge edge and fails as springs slacken and it sags. Vamoose treats the whole surface, curves and awkward profiles included, with no tension to lose.
Mirrors
Reflective discs, flash tape and scare devices rely on fear, and birds habituate to them within weeks. Vamoose changes how the surface itself feels, so there is nothing to learn to ignore.
Lasers
Lasers fade to nothing in bright sun and only move birds on while running. Vamoose guards the surface around the clock and keeps birds off for good, not just while a device is switched on.
Sonic devices
Ultrasonic units create noise, drift outdoors and birds soon tune them out. Vamoose works silently at the exact point birds land, with no ongoing sound or power draw.
Culling
Culling removes the birds that are there but never the reason they came, so fresh flocks move into the space you cleared, an endless, costly cycle that never resolves the infestation. Vamoose changes the surface itself, so once birds leave they stay gone, humanely and for good.
Proven by the University of KwaZulu-Natal
The University of KwaZulu-Natal, School of Life Sciences tested Vamoose independently on feral pigeons. The result was total, and the birds were unharmed.
“Once displaced, the pigeons did not return to the treated areas during the entire monitoring period.”
“Vamoose Bird Repellent Gel was effective at removing feral pigeons from ledges treated with it and with no observable harm to the birds post-treatment.”

Four species, one specialist approach
Most commercial and industrial bird problems in South Africa come down to four pest species. Each behaves differently, and each is handled by the same guaranteed BCS systems.

Yes. Vamoose Bird Repellent Gel is colourless, odourless and non-toxic. It's registered with the South African Department of Agriculture (Reg No. L10143, Act 36 of 1947) and works by touch, not poison, birds land, find the surface unsafe, and leave. An independent University of KwaZulu-Natal study observed no harm or distress to any birds.
